bullying posters

I think that out of the tree, the best poster is the second because the text really stands out well and the way i placed them really makes it look better. In the poster, there's a girl that looks like she is in a bubble ?(it was suppose to be a spotlight on her). The background of my poster is black and the colour of texts are white and red.The message is clear and overall the poster is simple and to the point.

The theme of my poster is bullying. This poster helps eliminate bullying in our society by informing or educating the general public that lots of kids in Canada are being bullied every day. I put "one out four Canadian kids say they have been bullied and one of the five kids are the bullying. i also put "stop bullying.it hurts", i made "bullying" and "hurts" red because it carries a lots of emotion, and you can also read it as "bullying hurts". On the bottom of the poster, there is a website where people can go in order to learn more about bullying.

Video Sequencing

  • Sequencing helps save time in a video, you can make a one minute clip into a 20 second clip or even less .
  • it helps the video editor tell the story by using a lots of wide, medium and tight shots.
  • without compression, the movie tends to be really boring
  • the viewers are used to seeing time compression everyday when they watch TV or a movie and they buy into your compression.
  • you should shoot a variety of shots
  • you should the action first and then the reaction
  • you should hold your shots for about 10 seconds each.
  • Don’t pan or zoom

photoshop effects: photo minipulation

I first went on to google and looked through the photoshop tutorial and i found this site:
http://www.photoshopstar.com/photo-effects/photo-manipulation/

There were bunch of cool photoshop tricks , and my favourite one was the photo manipulation, i thought it was really cool.

So first i got a piture of the guy's eye from google and followed the instructions. Then i got the a piture of a map and added it on top. As i went on following the instructions, i had to get the piture of a fish under water, and i added a shark on the guy's eye, rather than adding lots of fishes.

Over all it was an easy effect and even though it doesn't look as good as the original, it still looks cool.

Collage

The theme for my collage is "nature". i wanted my collage to look bright and colourful. I took the pictures of tress and flowers that really liked and put them together. The background of my collage is a tree.

First i chose seven pictures that i liked and i opened them one by one and edited it by Changing the brightness/contrast,colour and Cropping it. Ater i finished editing all my pictures, i opened my background picture and added on all of the other photos and changed the sizes. Then i deleted the parts that i didn't want and i am done!

Random album covers

The name of my first album cover is Karyn bye (she is an ice hockey player. She was the alternate captain of the united states women 's hockey team). The quote i got was "The very first law in advertising is to avoid the concrete promise and cultivate the delightfully vague." by Bill Cosby and i took the last four words which were "cultivate the delightfully vague". I think it would be pop or r&b music because of the people in the picture.
The name of my second album cover is Otohiko kaga (he is a Japanese author). The quote i got was "as we grow old..the beauty steals inward" and i took the last four words.i like this album cover more than the first one because of how it turned out.I think it would be mabey slow and calm music. I used bold for both of the album cover names and i used smaller font for the quote, i also placed the texts diffrently.

~ celebrity photo ~

For the image on the left, i decided to use the famous actress Angelina Jolie and i placed her in India, new Delhi. You wouldn't normally see Angelina with her wedding dress , crossing the streets of new Delhi.

So first i cut her out using the magnetic lasso, and fixed up what i missed by using lasso. Then i dragged her to the new background by using move tool. I adjusted her size and moved her around so that it would look real. Then i used the air brush and went around her . At the end, i adjusted the brightness/ contrast and i'm done!

Obama

For this exersice, i first used magnetic lasso to cut obama out and fixed up my errors by using lasso tool. Then i pressed the move tool and moved him to the great wall of China background and ajusted him a bit within the new Back ground. BUT i didn't save it properly so therefore i lost the first part of the exercise.
so the image on the left is the second part of the exercise,
i found it more difficult than the first because i was really confused with the mask. I created a layer mask by clicking on the Layer mask icon. Iwanted to change the sky colour but couldn't figure out how so i just left it the same. I also used the air brush to remove the "halos". With the help of some few classmates and teacher i was finally able to finish it.
